Chocolate Chicken Mole- Delicious and Mouth-watering Recipe

Try making this simple and delicious chocolate chicken mole recipe in a short time. The main ingredients used are:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 tsp adobo sauce from can, chopped
  • 1 chipotle pepper
  • 2 cups canned chop tomatoes
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 1/2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 chicken, meat removed and shredded (skin and bones discarded)
  • 1/4 cup roughly chopped peanuts, for garnish
  • 1 orange, for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving
  • Fresh cilantro, for serving
  • Flour tortillas, for serving
  • 1 avocado, peeled, pitted, and sliced, for serving
  • The direction to make this chocolate chicken recipe is:
  • Keep a pot on medium heat and coat with the oil. Add garlic and onion, and stir for 5 minutes. Now, add chipotle pepper, adobo, tomatoes and raisins. Bring the flame to simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Empty the mixture into the food processor. Add peanut butter, soup, cinnamon and chili powder. Puree the mixture until smooth. Now, sprinkle salt and pepper.
  • Keep the mixture to the pot again over medium heat and cook for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add chocolate and stir till it gets melted. Now, add shredded chicken and heat properly.
  • Empty the mole to a serving dish and garnish with sesame seeds, peanuts and orange zest. Serve up with lime, cilantro, tortillas or avocado.
