Chicken Chardon- Enjoy This Scrumptious Chicken Breast Recipe at Your Home

It is said that having good food in good company is one of the most enlightened bliss of life. Therefore, having chicken chardon with your favorite pals would surely be called as a great combination of quality food with quality time. It is easy to make and the ingredients of this recipe for serving eight people are 1 egg, 8 skinless and boneless chicken breast halves, 2 tsp garlic powder, 1 cup bread crumbs, 1 tsp sliced fresh parsley, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup melted butter, 1 pound chopped fresh mushrooms, 1 tsp fresh lemon juice and salt and pepper according to the taste.

The procedure for making chicken chardon is:

  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees C (375 degrees F).
  • Beat the egg in a shallow bowl and add salt, pepper and 1 tsp garlic powder.
  • Take a separate dish and mix bread crumbs, 1 tsp garlic powder and parmesan cheese together. Keep it  aside.
  • Add melted butter with lemon juice and empty about 2/3 butter mixture into the base of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Inclined the pan to coat the bottom properly. Spread mushrooms evenly in the bottom of the dish. First, dip chicken breast in the egg mixture and then into the bread crumb mixture. Now, keep the chicken mixture on the top of the mushrooms. Sprinkle the remaining butter with parsley over the chicken.
  • In the preheated oven, bake uncovered for 45 minutes until the chicken turns golden brown with juices run clear.
